One Take: Single-Reader Script Notes

A quick, affordable read of your screenplay.

Written by Jordan S.

One Take is a quick, affordable way to get a professional read on your screenplay. For $175, one of our readers will read your script and provide focused notes to help improve your next draft.

What you get

  • 2 to 3 pages of notes from one reader

  • Recognition of what's working in your script

  • 2 to 3 suggestions of areas that could be strengthened in the next draft

  • Delivery in 10 business days via email

What's not included

  • No Script Score. One Takes are notes only and cannot be displayed on your Slated film page or converted into a Slated score.

  • No synopsis.

  • No category breakdowns. One Takes do not follow the same 11-category format as our three-reader analysis.

  • No combining with other reads. One Takes cannot be combined with other reads or coverage products.

One Take or 3-Reader Script Analysis?

One Take is a good fit if you:

  • Are working on an early draft and want a professional second opinion

  • Need practical suggestions for your next rewrite

  • Want affordable notes before investing in a full analysis

3-Reader Script Analysis is best if you:

  • Need a Script Score to match with producers, talent, or investors

  • Want to be considered for Slated's EP Services

  • Want the perspectives of 3 readers and a comprehensive report

Please note, because One Take does not produce a Slated Script score, it cannot be used to qualify for EP Services consideration, which is based on Script and Financial Scores. It also does not unlock Financial Analysis, which requires Script or Screening Analysis.
